Machine learning trained on 12 years of West African and Sahel conflict data — the same methodology validated by the Netherlands Defence Academy, used in NATO planning and referenced by UN MINUSMA. Temporal Probabilistic rules predict attack types, targets and timing up to 6 months in advance with 93% F1-score accuracy.

The Prediction Methodology

SPECTRE's prediction engine is based on peer-reviewed machine learning research published by the Netherlands Defence Academy, the Northwestern Security and AI Laboratory, and validated against 12 years of ACLED conflict data covering JNIM, Boko Haram, Al-Shabaab and related non-state armed groups operating in the West Africa and Sahel region.

The system uses Temporal Probabilistic (TP) rules — a formalism that captures correlations between environmental conditions and attack behaviors across time windows of 1 to 6 months. 83 independent variables including travel bans, asset freezes, government military aid, leadership status, communications analysis and inter-group dynamics are tracked monthly. The system has been tested against real 2023 attack data with F1-scores exceeding 90% for most major attack categories.

This is not a commercial threat intelligence product. It is the same class of analytical methodology used by UN peacekeeping planning cells and NATO partner intelligence structures — made available sovereign for the first time.
